IVA-LAC LF Lactose Free Infant Milk is a nutritionally complete formula for babies and young children who are intolerant to lactose or sucrose, or who are experiencing symptoms such as diarrhoea, abdominal pain, or wind that may be caused by temporary lactose intolerance. It is suitable as the sole source of nutrition for infants from birth, in place of a usual formula feed. It can take approximately 6 weeks to restore a baby's ability to digest lactose after an episode of gastroenteritis. For older babies, it can be used as part of a mixed diet, and is suitable for use up to 12 months of age. IVA-LAC LF is not suitable for use in cases of cow’s milk allergy, galactosaemia, or if a galactose-free diet is required. It is appropriate for both primary and secondary lactose intolerance. IVA-LAC LF is available through the Healthy Start scheme.
